get in contact
At the age of four Brian Gordon was evacuated from London and sent to live for a year in Much Marcle.

Sixty years later, Brian has been back to Herefordshire to jog some memories.

He's found relatives of his wartime hostess, but he's still no closer to solving a mystery that has puzzled him for a lifetime.

Brian believes he and other evacuees posed for a photograph with film star Leslie Howard at Ledbury's market house sometime in late 1940.

But despite wading through microfilm records at Ledbury's library, no picture has materialised.

Brian is now hoping someone in Herefordshire has a copy to prove his memory hasn't Gone with the Wind.
