  • See what the Obelisk looked like in January.
  • The obelisk is built in memory of Edward Somers, whose family owned the castle and estate at Eastnor.
  • It was designed by Robert Smirke, architect of the British Museum.
  • The castle would have been demolished after WW2, but the owners couldn't afford the cost of knocking it down.
