BBC - Hereford and Worcester - Features

One of the most famous games in the history of the FA Cup took place at Edgar street when Hereford United, then a non-league club, beat Newcastle United 2-1.
That match, in 1972, marked the commentary debut of John Motson.
The two ends of the ground are called the Meadow End and the Blackfriars End.
Floodlights were used for the first time at Edgar Street in 1952.
