InSITE, A new e-magazine based in Hereford, covers a wide range of issues from local news items, to real life stories, opinion pieces and cultural articles.

Stories on Herefords first safe-sex school, domestic violence and driving test tips were all part of the first issue of the free and independent e-mag.

InSITE is entirely run by young people between 13 and 25 with support from media professionals at The Rural Media Company.

InSITE provides a platform for the views and opinions of Herefordshire's young people.

It is an opportunity for the youth community to explore the local, national and global issues, participate in debate and influence decision making.

"Since I've joined InSITE I have learned more about working in the media.

"I've made new friends and have learnt loads of new skills - like editing and photography", says young journalist Emily, aged 17.

InSITE is now working on its second issue and developing interactive features to the website so young people can communicate regardless of the rural isolation many feel in Herefordshire.

The next issue is focusing on young people and politics.

Anyone between 13-25 can take part and register.

There are currently opportunities for reporters, designers and photographers for InSITE.

The deadline for submission is June 5th 2004.
