Kayleigh Pearson, from Bewdley, beat thousands of entrants to be named readers' favourite girl next door in the magazine FHM.

The teenager, who's a sports science student at University College Worcester, now finds herself £10,000 better off.

She'll also do a cover shoot for the magazine.

The ten finalists were featured in a lingerie photoshoot supplement at a Scottish
castle before the winner was announced at a ceremony in London last night.

Kayleigh is not a professional model but sent a snap of herself to her soldier boyfriend to boost his morale while he was stationed in Iraq.

She also posted the photo to competition judges, which has proved to be a wise decision.

She's said the money will go towards paying off her student loan... though there are rumours that a couple of hundred pounds may be put behind the student union bar to help fund a celebration.
