Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal was in Worcester to officially open an exhibition in the City Art Gallery and Museum.
It shows which shows more than 300 years of the history of the Worcestershire regiment.

The stories of soldiers from Worcestershire regiments from the 17th century to the present day are depicted in the display.

It illustrates key events in history, including the Boston Massacre and the last cavalry charge by British troops.

Previously much of the material on display was only available at Norton barracks.

The four room exhibition includes a study area where documents about the regiment's history can be viewed.

The two-year project was completed in late July, and has been open to the public since then - although the Princess Royal's visit will mark the official opening.

New features of the exhibition include life-sized figures, including one of a Worcestershire Yeomanry Cavalryman and his horse, as they would have looked in 1916.
