Pupils at the Holyoakes Field Pupil Referral Unit in Redditch unveil a special sculpture as a legacy for the class of 2009.

The sculpture was designed by Redditch artist Steve Cartwright, with the help of pupils at the Holyoakes Field Pupil Referral Unit.

He says each pupil has been able to bring in their own ideas for the sculpture:

"On each glass block the children have done their fingerprint, which they've drawn themselves, pictures of their faces, their signatures and they've also done areas of local interest, like the cinema and the swimming pool, in their own colours."

The children, aged between 11 to 14, wanted to create a lasting legacy for the class of 2009, according to 13-year-old Bethany Glover, who had the original idea:

"I thought if we did something outside, we could come back years later and it would still be there."

The unit deals with pupils who've been having problems in their regular schools.
