Lexie Stobie is to sing on BBC Songs of Praise on Sunday 12 July 2009.

This will be her third appearance on the programme, having sung one of her own songs, We Need You, on the show in June 2007.

Lexie's performing The Lord's My Shepherd this time, which she recorded recently in Bristol.

Lexie, who's 18, attends All Saints' Church in Deansway, Worcester, and she released two independent Christian albums before she was 16.

Now she's concentrating on writing material with broader appeal, still with a clear message, mixing her love of blues and soul.

Recently Lexie was in Nashville, where she met numerous people in the music industry and she had the opportunity to co-write some material with songwriters there.
