In November 2008, BBC Hereford & Worcester, along with nearly 600 of our listeners, smashed the Guinness World Record for Belly Dancing. 

Strictly Come Dancing

It was an amazing day and achievement and we want to do it all again, but bigger and better!!

We are about to embark on a 'Summer of Salsa’ in aid of Children in Need, culminating in an attempt to break the world record for the biggest Salsa class.

This will be a high profile campaign, with coverage on television and radio, running from the beginning of April through to Sunday 19 July, when the record attempt will take place at Sixways in Worcester, the home of the Worcester Warriors Rugby Club. 

To break the world record we will need nearly TWO THOUSAND people to take part on Sunday 19 July 2009. 

This will be an exciting challenge, bringing people together from Herefordshire, Worcestershire and further afield, to achieve one common aim.

We'll be encouraging existing listeners, their friends and family to take up Salsa, which will help improve their fitness and have fun in the process. 

Strictly Come Dancing

We need to involve as many individuals, groups, and organisations as possible to help us achieve this aim and we'd love you be part of this exciting project.

Droitwich Music Festival American themed day - 11am onwards.

Evesham River Festival - 11am onwards.
