Imelda May

Imelda May popped into BBC Hereford & Worcester to chat to Andrew Easton about her new album... and ended up interviewing him!

Imelda May is an Irish female vocalist, who fell in love with rockabilly and the blues as a nine-year-old in Dublin.

Since then, she went solo in 2006 and has been putting a 21st century spin on things!

Imelda has shared the stage with Alison Moyet, Dionne Warwick, Bryan Ferry, Anastasia, The Supremes, Sister Sledge, Scissor Sisters, Matt Bianco, Elvis Costello, Jools Holland and Elton John.

She also spent four years as a vocalist in Mike Sanchez's seven-piece rhythm and blues band!
