This band from Kidderminster met at college while they were all on a Music Performance And Practice course.
The SpoonFedz originally began as a college band at Kidderminster College in 2006 - they were studying an ND course in Music Performance And Practice there.
Three brothers (Pat, Steve, and Tim Osborne) started to write music that they personally enjoyed which, at that particular time, was their only motivation.

They really weren't satisfied with a lot of the music coming out on the scene, and so to begin with they just aimed to please their own personal tastes.
As time progressed, Jo Coupland joined the college course at Kidderminster, and Pat, Steve, and Tim recruited Jo to learn and co-write songs.
At that time they were playing a lot of cover shows for the college as part of the course, and their lecturer Carrie Pickering asked them to play some of their own stuff as an experiment.
Not really sure if anyone would even listen to this group of musicians, they performed, only to be amazed and surprised at the response they got.
People loved their music, even to the extent that they were singing the words to a song that the four thought no one knew about.
As it turned out, what had happened was that students at Kidderminster College had heard them practicing and learnt the words that way!
To the soon to be SpoonFedz this was a beautiful demonstration of the power of 'word of mouth', because people had told their friends, who told their friends (Waynes World style), and before they knew it, people were coming to college gigs to see the band play their songs - a following that they as a collection of musicians didn't even realise existed.
It was then that The SpoonFedz officially formed as a band, rather than a bunch of musicians coming together.
It was a lovely situation, because, through being a college band, they realised it was possible to get brilliant experience in gigging their sound, whilst studying music as a whole in the name of Kidderminster College.
The SpoonFedz recall: "All in all a rare situation, and we received wonderful support from our lecturers, and some of the guys based at MAS Records (Scott Garrett from The Culprit included), as well as developing a fan base in the college and in Kidderminster in general."
With the college they played numerous gigs over the space of two years, including The Taphouse in Kidderminster, Kidderminster Town Hall, The Sun Flower Lounge in Birmingham, and gigs around different places in Cornwall.
When they went down to Cornwall a friend of an old executive of Sony was in the crowd, saying the band should sign to Sony - but it's not what The SpoonFedz wanted as a band.
As their college course came to an end at Kidderminster, The SpoonFedz realised that they had a good thing going with the band, and that they should keep doing it.
They had several band names before their current name, such as The Chutney Ferrets for example, but felt The SpoonFedz had the most relevance to the band's message, and what they are really about.
So now The SpoonFedz are here, at the stage of trying to make a bigger and better name for themselves, and on their own.
