Graham Turner

Graham Turner: relishing the challenge

Live sport in the coming week

BBC Hereford and Worcester brings you unrivalled live coverage of local sport with football and cricket featuring in the coming week.

We might be only in the second week of August but the football season is back, and BBC Hereford and Worcester will bring you the very best coverage of our top teams.

Hereford United start their League One season with an away trip to Leyton Orient on Saturday 9 August, and there will be full commentary on the match on 94.7 FM as part of BBC Hereford and Worcester's commitment to cover all of the Bulls' away league games this season.

United's manager Graham Turner says they have nothing to fear from League One, and he's confident his new-look side will cope:

"I would have liked to have strengthened the squad further, but I have had a little bit of trouble in persuading one or two players to come here.

"We know that happens at a small club like this, but I'm reasonably happy with the way the players have worked through pre-season and it's a challenge that we can look forward to."
