Jack... or James
in their own words
A duo playing a variety of indie/classic covers and a bag full of their own material.
Brixton Academy, Birmingham's NEC, Carnegie Hall – just some of a many venues that jackjames have never and probably will never get to play.
Formed on a Tuesday before lunchtime, jackjames started life as a four-piece college band, cobbled together by the lectures of Worcester College.
They enjoyed some success, reaching the dizzying heights of the school canteen.
James... or Jack
But after college was over it was only Jack Forster (guitar, vocals) and James Pugh (guitar, harmonica) who decided to carry on the band of the duo.
Some say it was because they were inseparable, the best of friends – others say they only became a duo to split any profit 50/50 (so far that profit has soared to a massive £6.50).
After practicing and prevaricating for a year, Jack and James decided to start gigging in the Malvern area.
They play regularly at the Lamb and the Wyche Inn, and at any open mic slots that haven't barred them yet.
Playing a variety of indie/classic covers and a bag full of their own material, jackjames are ready to take the region by storm – well, by some sort of weather phenomenon at least!
You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session Introducing... every week from 7pm, on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
