Local rappers get BBC session

The Hereford hip hop crew The Anomalies record a session at BBC Maida Vale, thanks to The Friday Session Introducing...

The Anomalies, the Hereford hip hop crew, are one of only 12 bands across the country to get the chance to record at this special session, at the BBC's Maida Vale studios in London.

The Anomalies

The band were recommended for the session by BBC Hereford and Worcester's The Friday Session Introducing...

The tracks they record will be broadcast on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, and possibly 1Xtra - the band have already been featured on Steve Lemacq's show on BBC Radio 2.

Success Story

It's the forth success story for BBC Hereford and Worcester's local music show.

They championed the music of Malvern's Sam Isaac, who went on to appear at the Glastonbury Festival, The BBC Electric Proms and on national radio.

Upton's Luke Leighfield also played a Maida Vale session recently.

Plus Hereford band Pencil Toes have recorded at the legendary BBC studios.

You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session Introducing... every week from 7pm, on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
