Do you remember The Jazz Club?

Mark brings his memories of gigs in Ross-on-Wye to the Music Map.

Mark Snell has been wallowing in nostagia while looking at our Music Map.

Now he wonders if anyone else remembers the Jazz Club in Ross-on-Wye.

"Not sure why it was called the Jazz Club, because I don't remember much jazz, in fact I don't remember too much about those evenings at the back of what was then the New Inn in Ross (now the Eagle).

"Hence my contribution: can anyone remind me of the bands that played there before the Top Spot (now Jacqueline's) opened.

"I guess it was 1963/1964 - I remember Alexis Korner was a regular.

"It was a wild time, which is probably why I can't remember! I just remember some great bands, great friends and great fun.

"Information please to light a dim memory."
