About WorcestershireYou are in: Hereford and Worcester > About Worcestershire > Scarecrow weekend ![]() Feckenham Scarecrow Weekend logo Scarecrow weekendThe village of Feckenham in Worcestershire goes scarecrow crazy.
The Third Annual Feckenham Scarecrow Festival takes place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October from 11am. Villagers are busily constructing all kinds of weird and wonderful creations, in the hope of winning prizes in the competition for the most imaginative scarecrow. Last year there were more than thirty displays, ranging from the traditional to the bizarre, the beautiful to the frankly bonkers. Visitors can enjoy a stroll around the Scarecrow Trail, starting at the village Square, and maps will be available to guide people around. Visitors will be invited to vote for their favourite scarecrow, and the most popular will be the competition winners. The results will be announced and prizes awarded at 3.30pm on The Square. A number of the scarecrows will come to life in order to serve tasty teas in the Scarecrow Marquee, and there'll be a competition for junior visitors who'll be invited to paint a face for a scarecrow. All the events are free, as is the parking at Barretts of Feckenham. For more information see the Scarecrow Weekend website.
