Quinn started work on Friday morning at 7.30am, and didn't stop to sleep until Sunday evening.

Some people were born to be leaders, Quinn certainly was.
Quinn was instrumental in keeping this vital operational centre open for the public.
Traffic on M5 at Strensham Services
He pushed cars to safety that were stuck in flood water up to the car windows with drivers still in them, cleared the traffic to make way for other stranded drivers, organised distribution of blankets and food for those stranded, and, once he had filled the Travel Inn with stranded public, opened all areas to enable people to get some rest in the dry.
The facilities were kept going due to his tenacity and strength of conviction that he could make a difference, and he did, to hundreds of people.
Quinn is a great communicator and through the crisis, listened, consulted, involved and explained why as well as what needed to be done.
His confidence and determined compassion swept his staff along.
