She Visited Herefordshire to find out more about this semi aquatic mammal. Water voles have suffered a calamitous collapse in population in recent decades. From the end of the 1980s to the mid 1990s, the British water vole population declined by nearly 90% from 7 million to just under 900 thousand. In some parts of the midlands, the population has continued to fall. View the video below to see Toyah's visit to the Herefordshire border.
