Flat for the Flintstones?

A cave house in Worcestershire, last inhabitated in the 1940's, is up for sale.

For anyone looking for a really different place to live, this cave house at Wolverley near Kidderminster could be the perfect answer.

The one-bedroomed house, complete with fireplaces, a pantry, and a sitting room, hasn’t been lived in since the late 1940’s.

There's even a front lawn and woodland above and to the rear of the caves, but the house doesn't have electricity or running water.

Also included in the sale are three other adjoining caves, one of which has four rooms, and nearly five acres of mixed woodland and associated garden land.

The auctioneers admit that whether the caves are suitable for human habitation is "open to question".
