The Intended were a rock trio from Hereford. Their music appeared on ITV's F1 programme.
The Intended never made a promotional video, but had two of their songs played to audiences of millions whilst they watched the opening montage of a very high profile sport: Formula One.
Two songs: 'Anticipation' and 'Boy Girl Thing' were chosen for the titles of The European and French Grand Prix, whilst viewers watched exciting edits of drivers and teams in this glamorous sport.
They also had a track on the soundtrack of the film Never See, Never Mind, featuring bikini clad Swedish Blondes driving in fast cars...nice!
The band started off under the name 'Perfect 10' playing to packed audiences in Hereford and London, including the memorable band nights at the Jailhouse.
It was the quality of the songwriting that led them to early success, showing that a genuine act on a relatively tight budget will triumph over bland manufactured pap, no matter how much marketing investment and promotional video expenditure the big labels use.
In summer 2005, The Intended released an album after working with the producer Matt Butler - but slowly drew to a close over a number of years.
You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session, every week from 7pm, on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
