Swerve are a production team from Leominster who specialise in house and trance music. Find out more about them and listen to their monster trance anthem, Emotion.
The production team, Swerve, came into fruition back in November 2000. After returning back to Leominster from producing several top ten UB40 albums, Dan Armstrong was reunited with DJ Glenn Parry after bumping into him at the local gym.
He was then introduced to another DJ, Gareth Davies, who was writing with Glenn at the time. There was an instant rapport between the three and they began to write and produce Dance music together. Initially, many genres were experimented with, particularly Hard House, Progressive and Trance.
Their first single, a progressive track called 'Lava Flow', generated a favourable response when it was played at one of the 'Naughty But Nice' closing nights at The Crystal Rooms in Hereford - so much so, it was sent off to the record companies.
The knock-on effect of 'Lava Flow' was that Swerve were asked to produce a Hard House remix of 'Get Down Massive' by The Freestylers.
The international DJ BK also expressed an interest in the track.
You can listen to all the latest music from across the two counties on the Friday Session, every week from 7pm on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
