Have an ongoing competition for local students. How many can the phonebox hold.

Move it to a public toilet and install a shower.

It should have an information access point inside
A touch screen to show you a map of where you are, Cab numbers, Local places of interest, useful info for a visitor just arriving.
This will never happen though because Ledbury is usually such a backward thinking and small minded affair.

Resite it outside BBC H&W building,
in summer can be used as a minuature coffee bar for all those exhausted H&W DJs
and stressed out city town Planners from their building also in Hylton Rd.
in winter should be moved closer to the river...+ used as flood/weather watch cubicle for Paul Demari...or as a temporary studio for Malcolm Boyden..from where he can entertain people with his fab faggot song.
Did you know that the public phone box in Overbury,on foothills of Bredon Hill,worcestershire..is painted green...the owners of the wall in which it is situated would not let BT paint its door red.
is it the only green public phone box in UK?

I would use the phone box for an island of tranquility by piping in calming sounds/music like waves on the beach or birds singing, etc. People who are very stressed (aren't we all) could stop in -- close their eyes --- and pretend they are somewhere else for a few moments. :)

As an expat American I can't suggest what it might be used for but England should never, EVER get rid of the red phone box. Along with cream teas, rainy weather and all things English, the phone box stands as the most recognizable symbol to all foreign tourists. I've been here four years and I still love to see them!!
