Ian Botham

Famous cricketer who played for Worcestershire and England...

Ian Botham reminisces about living in Worcester and mingling with the stars, over a Pie and a Pint with BBC Hereford and Worcester's Tony Fisher.
 
Ian's cricketing career began at Lords where he was a ground staff lad.

In 1971 he joined the Somerset Second XI and he debuted for England in 1977, keeping the crowds captivated until his retirement from First Class cricket in July 1993.

Ian is an accomplished golfer with a handicap of seven, he shoots, fishes and also holds a helicopter pilot licence.

He has become a television favourite with appearances on Question of Sport and has also been featured on This Is Your Life.
