Listen to Mike George's music, Monday to Thursday evenings, from 6pm...
Mike came into broadcasting 25 years ago after ten years in the Royal Navy and eight years as a medical representative for a pharmaceutical company.
Mostly broadcasting in the West Midlands and South Wales, he's done just about all the types of programmes there is, but mostly he's an early morning man and for 15 of the 25 years, has presented Breakfast shows.
Sunday afternoons allow him to return to his first love and that's playing tunes and chatting with people.
There's chart tunes from five decades, - sixties, seventies, eighties, ninties and noughts - and plenty of those that you bought but haven't heard for ages, plus chances to win CDs, DVDs and the coveted small colourful, inexpensive and very useful prizes that all are after!
One of the features on the show is your First, Worst and Best record.
Mike's first record was Stood Up by Rick Nelson, his worst is Chestnut Mare by The Byrds and his best is Leningrad by Billy Joel.
Mike's married to Lin, they have four children and two (soon to be three) grandchildren, plus an old dog called Harper, three cats - Willow, Merlin and Morgan - and a couple of chickens, called Emily and Abigail... apparently you can't eat anything you've named!
Mike loves his garden (but not gardening), poetry (but only if it rhymes) and Australian wines.
Listen to Mike George Monday to Thursday evenings on BBC Hereford and Worcester from 6pm, or on demand at a time that suits you.
