General Weather Situation

Low pressure steering to the north-west of the British Isles during the coming 5-7 days. A front will influence our weather on Monday Night into Tuesday, then a westerly Atlantic airstream will set in thereafter.

Monday 23 November

The day will bring shafts of autumn sunshine, and local heavy blustery showers, although some spots will catch good dry spells at times between. Good light and visibility between any precipitation, feeling mild again for the time of year. The evening will bring showers with clear spells. Cloudier breezy night with some patchy rain or drizzle in parts later. Rainfall 1-3 mm. Winds west to south-west gusting to 45 mph.
Maximum temperature 12-13c  54-55f.
Minimum temperature 8-9c  46-48f.

Tuesday 24 November

Skies will remain clouded through the day into the night with some rain or drizzle about, alternating between drier intervals. Rainfall small in amounts 1-3 mm. Misty over the hills and high level routes. Drier and clearer later in the night but with the west to south-west windflow still blowing strongly 30-40 mph.
Maximum temperature 12-13c  54-55f.
Minimum temperature 8-10c  46-50f.

Wednesday 25 November

Skies brighter with sunshine and varied cloud flecked skies producing a few light fleeting showers in places. Some locations will miss the showers and stay dry. Winds gusting in from the west at 25-35 mph, drier evening and night.
Maximum temperature 12-13c  54-55f.
Minimum temperature 6-8c  43-46f.

Thursday 26 November

Gusty 30-35 mph west to south-west winds bringing along sunny intervals and a scattereing of fleeting showers but with good dry spells between. Rainfall zero to 1-3 mm. Clear spells and the odd shower through the eventide and night.
Maximum temperature 10-11c  50-52f.
Minimum temperature 6-8c  43-46f.

Friday 27 November

Good deal of cloud cover producing a few very light quickly passing showers in places, some good drying spells between. Feeling a shade cooler in a gusty west breeze 20-40 mph. Cloudy night with a few showers and short lived clearer intervals.
Rainfall zero to 1mm.
Maximum temperature 10-11c  50-52f.
Minimum temperature 4-6c  39-43f.

With no heavy persistent rain this week, river levels will begin to recede. No flooding with all places clear of warnings.
Temperatures by day and by night will stay somewhat above the seasonal norm of 9c.

During Saturday winds gusted to 40-50 mph across the two counties.
