Your baby is now a whopping 42 cms long and weighs about 2.2 kilos (four and a half pounds). A baby born now has an excellent chance of survival, but will still need help with breathing and feeding.
See how your baby grows in our week by week image gallery.
Growing bump making you feel uncomfortable at night? Try lying on your side, with your lower leg bent at the knee, supported on a pillow. If you get cramp, rub the affected muscles briskly, and wiggle your toes. If you've got aching legs or varicose veins - reach for those maternity support tights! They may not look great but they really help. Put them on by rolling them upwards from the ankle, so you make the most of the elastic support. Bleeding gums? This is a common pregnancy side-effect. As your gums thicken and soften under the influence of oestrogen, you're more at risk of gum disease. See your dentist and ask for the hygienist to check the way you're brushing and flossing. Remember you can get free dental care during and after your pregnancy.
Pregnancy tips: have you missed your gin and tonics or champagne cocktails? Put the fizz back into your Saturday night with a non-alcoholic cocktail. Try fresh fruit juices over crushed ice, topped with soda, tonic water or ginger ale. Then put your feet up and sip away!
