Matthew Walker

Dr Walker is an honorary consultant neurologist at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and an advanced Wellcome Trust fellow at the Institute of Neurology.

His research interests include understanding of brain physiology, the mechanisms underlying epilepsy, and the treatment and consequences of prolonged seizures.

Laura Waters

Dr Waters is a locum consultant at St Mary’s Hospital, London, in HIV and sexual health. She trained in genitourinary medicine at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and has published on HIV clinical care, contraception and general sexual health. She frequently speaks to, and writes for, patient groups. Her clinics include general HIV outpatients, a specialist women’s HIV clinic offering contraception and fertility advice, and a walk-in sexual health clinic.

Patsy Westcott

Patsy is a health and medical journalist who has written for adults and children on topics including heart disease, eczema, leukaemia, arthritis, epilepsy, blindness and drug abuse.

She has also written patient materials for charities, including the Stroke Association and Diabetes UK.

Her special interests are preventive health, diet and health, women's and children's health, and alternative medicine.
