Myth: Mental health problems are for life. Truth: People can and do recover from mental health problems.

Myth: Mental health problems are very rare. Truth: Mental health problems affect one in four people.

Myth: Mental health problems happen to other people. Truth: 1 in 4 people will have some sort of mental health problem.

Myth: Mental health problems are a sign of weakness. Truth: What about Winston Churchill, Frank Bruno, Ruby Wax..?

Myth: People with schizophrenia have a split personality. Truth: This idea, like the Jekyll and Hyde story which reinforces it, is fiction.
