Help playing audio/video Fans were able to see the cup that Pompey would be playing for on Saturday 17 May, 2008 when BBC South brought the famous piece of silverware to the Portsmouth landmark. ![]() Gary has flown over from New Zealand for the final Supporters from all over the South - through to far flung corners over the globe queued in the blazing sunshine on Monday 12 May to see the gleaming trophy. Gary Clements who emigrated from the city to New Zealand nearly 20 years ago was one fan who brought a camera along to have his picture taken with the famous Cup: ![]() Fans queue at The Tower to see the FA Cup "You just think of this sparkling, highly polished trophy - just the history behind it is enough to draw you to it," he said.
