The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites Help playing audio/video Saturday lunchtimes on Solent are an escape from the weekend shopping, or the football - whatever your preference is! With a mix of hits and great tunes from the last four decades, it's a great chance for Neil to delve into his record collection: "If you don't hear a song to make you turn the volume up, you'll get your money back. Just bring the receipt…;-)" He'll celebrate some birthdays with the Rock n' Roll diary and take you back in time with the Flashbacks. Plus BBC Radio Solent's team of football commentators will pit their wits against each other before their matches start. Neil knows how to get a dancefloor going - and it's not surprising - he's been working in radio since joining BBC Radio Northampton in the mid-1980s. After working in commercial Radio Neil moved to BBC Radio Solent in 1997 and for many years was responsible for all of the production work, trails and jingles on the station. He was also part of the BBC Sport teams working on the Commonwealth games in Manchester and the Olympics in Athens. Outside work, Neil can still be found behind the turntables at various pubs and clubs right across the south - and has been known to wear the odd afro wig while DJ-ing!
