Love Southsea

Skateboarders of all ages come together in support of a much loved South Coast institution - Southsea Skatepark.

Sadie Tierney produced this documentary 30 years after the park was built.  In the words of the then Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Richard Sotnick, it was to be "the best skating facilities outside London."

SHORTLISTED FOR BEST ARTS/FACTUAL/DOCUMENTARY

Mark Kermode's comments: "A celebration of a threatened skating institution, and a heartfelt plea to save it from closure. There’s plenty of enthusiastic interviews – from youngsters to self proclaimed ‘old leg-ends’, and some lively skating footage with fitting thrash metal accompaniment."
