First of all where are you at the moment?
I'm at home in Brooklyn where I can see some neighbours hanging out some laundry and stuff.

What are you up to over there?
We've just been touring really, and now we're writing some new songs for the next album and we have a couple of weeks off before we come back over there [the UK].

How did Ambulance LTD get together?

I guess we all sort of met and got together through our drummer Darren who moved here from Ireland - he and I played together in a band before this one and then we started auditioning different members and got the band together.

Who came up with the name?
I guess that was some of the old members, there were these kids from Ohio who started the band -  Darren and I used to play with them, now they're no longer in the band but we inherited the name.

You remind me a bit of the Charlatans, how would you describe your musical style?
That's cool, I like the Charlatans, I think we draw influences from a lot of different places, so we're not necessarily this or that...

What's an Ambulance gig like?
Well the crowd may do a number of different things, jump up on the stage, gaze at their shoes, yell things at you if they like you, shout over you if they don't!  That's part of the fun, you don't know what's going to happen!

Are you looking forward to touching down on UK soil once again?
Yeah it should be cool, and we're going to try and get some of the new songs together for the tour.

What essential items will you be packing for the tour?
The same as always, I've got a pair of socks, the jacket, the guitar, the back-pack!

Will there be anything from the Big Apple that you'll miss?
Well it's a pretty quick visit but I always miss my cat, he's a big, fat cat called Guinness.

What bands do you hang out with?
We're friends with The Killers we've done quite a bit of touring with them and we know The Bravery, we see them around New York, we don't have enough famous friends come to think about it!  We should do something about that!
