What’s the weirdest way to cook a steak?

Materials scientist Professor Mark Miodownik has been on a quest to cook the greatest-tasting medium-rare steak possible – and has found an unusual method using some science know-how and a few tricks from the lab.

As tasty as it sounds, do not try this recipe at home. Liquid nitrogen could give you cold burns, frostbite and eye damage if not handled properly. And besides, it’s tricky to find in the supermarket.
