Electoral Support
Created on 03 Dec 2012
The UK Independence Party, in addition to its performance in the recent elections, has established a consistent trend in opinion polls for most of this year which should be taken into account when considering appropriate levels of coverage for different parties across our output. This is not, of course, about mathematics or any given formula, but about due impartiality, so the approach may vary in different areas. Anyone needing specific advice should get in touch with Ric Bailey, Chief Adviser, Politics or Philip Abrams in Editorial Policy.
A reminder also, particularly for UK-wide content, that when considering respective levels of coverage for parties, the different political contexts in the Nations should also be taken into account.
