The use of Wireless devices for production purposes are growing, but there are both legal and practical restrictions on the use of radio spectrum. The equipment must either be licensed (e.g. radio microphones), or officially exempt (e.g. Bluetooth), and regardless of the licensing arrangements, the equipment must be able to co-exist with other uses of the same spectrum in its vicinity.
Before hiring or purchasing wireless production equipment, users should contact their Head of Technology (see
Technology Investments section) for advice on licensing and co-existence issues.
