Paul Mudge's Guidelines

At the start of February 2009 Paul Mudge encouraged us all to be cheerleaders in his Guidelines and Sunday Service.

Paul Mudge was born in Exeter in 1988 and has been living in Guernsey for the past year.

He works as the children's and youth co-ordinator at the Vazon Elim Church where he organises the Revolution Youth Projects.

Paul's Guidelines

Encouragement needs to be a way of life for us as Christians. We know what the power of encouragement has on our own life and spirit. You know how it can lift you up in the tough times and when you are in the middle of a crisis.

We need to be intentional in our encouragement and the best time to encourage is today.

Hebrews 3 verse 13 says: "...but encourage one another daily, as long as it's called today so that sin may not hold you back".

As Christians we should be showing love to our brothers and sisters in Christ. We should be showing love to our community. We need to encourage people. Let's stop being so critical and let's start being cheerleaders!

We need to encourage now, we need to show the love of Jesus now, not tomorrow, not in a week's time, but today. Tomorrow is not certain. We need to do it today so that when we meet with the father, we will hear His amazing words: "Well done my good and faithful servant".

Today is the day to encourage. Let's rise up and become the people God has called us to be. Let's become the people who are the salt and the light of the world.

Let's be the cheerleaders!
