Mike Wilkins followed Sarah Breton as she met the people who have to live near Jersey's current incinerator which itself is planned to be replaced... Businesses will bear the brunt of tax rises announced by Guernsey's Treasury and resources minister Charles Parkinson. From next year companies in the finance industry will pay 50% more tax on their office space. As Alex South reports... To Guernsey first and the news that One hundred million pounds has been wiped off the Guernsey pension fund, then it was announced Unemployment is at its highest level for 12 years. A woman from Guernsey who's worried about the suggested location of the island's new waste treatment plant, has been on a fact finding mission to Jersey, to see for herself what living near an incinerator's like. St Sampson's was the only district that needed to go to the polls and as Mike Wilkins reports turnout was very low. Tuesday 4 NovemberA Guernseyman who recently won the World Junior Bowls Championship has told the BBC how spending weeks in a coma helped him achieve his ambition.
