Weekday mornings between 0930 and 1300 Jim Cathcart brings you entertainment, guests and music on BBC Guernsey.
It is different every day with Jim Cathcart, but the philosophy is simple – interesting people, interesting stories and interesting things to do – all brought to you with a smile and accompanied by some great tunes. It is the ultimate recipe for mid-morning music and chat.
One of the most popular features of the show is the weekly Coffee Morning. Each Tuesday Jim is joined by three 'coffee guests' who have a laid back (and often light-hearted) chat about life, the universe and everything. It is unscripted and unrehearsed so it is a lively listen and a great insight into the lives of islanders.

You can also follow the lives of the Bailiwick Bloggers - a bit like an online web log (Blog) but on the radio. Five regular Bloggers give an insight into what is happening in their worlds as they share their thoughts on the airwaves just after 9.30.
Everyday Jim gives you the chance to exercise your brain with Mental Maths and the Crossbar. Mental Maths is a daily maths question which you can try and work out in your head and the Crossbar is a bit like a crossword – but on the radio and it runs through the week.
You can call with your stories and experiences or have your say on the issues of the day.
As well as talking to interesting islanders Jim often interviews celebrity guests. Among the famous voices to appear on the show recently are Steve Cram, Coleen Nolan, Brian Blessed, Kate Adie, Daniel O’Donnell, Mylene Klass, Jonathan Dimbleby, Rolf Harris and the Hairy Bikers.
Over the years Jim has taken his show to Herm, Sark, and Lihou. He has also broadcast live from Vazon Bay, the North and West Show and the top of Pleinmont Tower and he jet-skied around the island for work!
Some of Jim's other memorable moments include tracing the last working gas lamp in Guernsey, meeting the relative of a Guernsey survivor of the Titanic and your suggestions of 50 things to do with a CD, 50 things to do with a pair of stockings and 143 things to do in a year in Guernsey.
