| A
local paranormal research group is organising a costumed tour of Gloucester's
most haunted historic locations. "The
tour will visit the Dick Whittington, which holds interesting stories from down
the ages," said Nichola Lynch of P-I-R-T (Paranormal Investigation Research
Team), "(followed by) Gloucester Cathedral and the Old Bell Inn, for bar
snacks and talks on the ghosts and history of the 17-century building."
At the New Inn there is theatrical entertainment and a sit down meal in the evening
for ticket holders. During
the afternoon there is also the chance to see the people involved be placed in
stocks and for a small donation to charity you could be the one who soaks them
the most. Later
in the evening, just before midnight, a ghost investigation will take place in
the New Inn, which will be lead the founder of P-I-R-T and his investigation group. History "This
isn't just an ordinary ghost tour around Gloucester," said Nichola, "there
are many ghost stories to tell on the way and also snippets of history - even
born and bred Gloucester folk may be surprised to find out a thing or two." Participants
are asked to wear fancy dress, while overnight accommodation may be booked at
the New Inn.
Tickets for the evening are £25 each, visit www.p-i-r.t.com
