Nurse
Andy Lloyd and siblings Dave and Martin Cosnette are a polite, unassuming
trio from Gloucester, the sort of people your mum would describe
as 'very nice boys'.
Yet
behind this likeable, down-to-earth exterior lurk three minds bursting
with hidden knowledge on UFO sightings, alien entities and apparitions.
Because
Dave, Andy and Martin are Cosmic Conspiracies - men with an unquenchable
thirst for the unknown.
Investigations
Their
UFO-oriented website, set up five years ago, scores 6,000 visitors
and week and brings in over 500 emails per day.
Now
the boys, whose passion was fired by Dave and Martin's sighting
for a "two-mile wide" UFO in 1999, are extending their
investigations to include ghostly and paranormal activity.
They
admit that it's been a dry spell for UFOs.
"In
the last 12 months there haven't been any sightings in Gloucestershire,"
said ponytailed Andy.
"You
could argue that this is something that supports the theory. If
it were a cultural thing, as some people think, then you'd get roughly
the same number of sightings each year. The fact that number goes
up and down suggests a phenomeon which is actually worth investigating."
Past
Gloucestershire sightings include a close encounter with a three-foot
tall being who was seen in Shurdington in the late 70s, which were
a high point for UFO activity in the county.

Experiences
He was as clear and solid as you.

When
asked if the they've had any personal experience of their new research
area, the paranormal, they laugh knowingly.
"I've
been seeing different things since I was 10 or 12," said Martin,
"the most recent one being last week. I was at the spiritualist
church, we were doing the usual meditation in a circle, after we
were having a chat I spotted someone in the corner and it turned
out to be
the father of the medium who leads the group.
"He
was clear and solid as you. He was standing by the door - once we
start the circle the doors are locked."
Dave
and Martin have had a number of ghostly experiences (including a
recent experience when Martin sensed a presence in Andy's house!),
and one of the theories they are investigating is the ghosts may
be drawn to people instead of buildings.
Book
project
They
are compiled a book on ghostly encounters, focused mainly around
Gloucestershire.
Martin
said they want to get the stories from "Joe Bloggs on the street
rather than some well-documented mansion house".
He
stressed that many people have had strange experiences, but can
be reluctant in coming forward because they are afraid of being
ridiculed.
Stories
and sightings can be reported via the Cosmic Conspiracies Paranormal
Hotline, the number of which can be found on their website.
