They
recorded their first demo for just $500 and since then they have
been number one in the US Power Pop charts,
and number three in Rock on mp3.com with 75,000 total plays beating
off Popa Roach, Deftones, The Offspring, and thousands of other
bands.
They
have recently finished their debut full length CD with producer
Adam Lasus (Juliana Hatfield, Gigolo Aunts, Madder Rose) and are
now fully embarked on their first UK tour which takes in 14 venues
across the country including the Fish & Fiddle in Cheltenham.
The
US trio have gained a reputation as the darlings of the purist music
press. They reputedly combine superior songwriting with musicianship
and most importantly "kick-ass live performances in the vintage
rock style".
With
influences ranging from KISS to Motown, Evil Jake has been compared
to Foo Fighters, Elvis Costello, and The Police.
Mike
Jacobs from Brooklyn is the songwriter and guitarist and before
Evil Jake, Mike played with numerous NYC bands.
Drummer
Paul Campanella and bassist Aaron Trubic were a constantly requested
and respected session team before joining the band.

They
have shared a stage together for over a decade - with this amount
of familiarity we can expect a pretty solid rhythm section.
Evil
Jake routinely packs venues in Manhattan's Lower East Side - let's
see if they can rock the Fish and Fiddle!
