Jimmy
Carr is a non-stop, deadpan, posh-sounding and slightly bewildered
joker with a lethal line in killer gags. His road to notoriety began
only a year ago when he won the Time Out Best Stand-Up Award.
My 'quarter-life crisis' decision to join the comedy circus
has paid off.

At
this years Royal Variety Performance he blew the audience
away with one of those "dont know who the hell he is,
how dare he be stealing the show?" performances and commentators
all seem to agree that a huge new UK talent has been uncovered with
the Evening
Standard describing him as Englands answer to Emo Phillips.
He
made his first big mark on TV on Channel 4s popular new quiz
show Your Face or Mine? (an opportunity for him to humiliate
daft adolescents) and now seems
on target for TV and stand-up stardom.
Jimmy
gave up a 'proper' job to pursue his comedy ambitions just three
years ago. He said: "It's hard to believe that so recently
I was doing the nine-to-five in marketing for an oil company.
