Following
on from the Natural History of the British Isles series, the BBC
is making a television documentary about the Seven Natural Wonders
of the West.
We
would like your nominations for the Gloucestershire area.
From
the leafy beauty of the Wye Valley to the panoramic views atop Robinswood
Hill, the county is renowned for its natural beauty.
Special
place
Make
sure you also tell us why the place you've nominated is so special
to you. If it's a really strong story, it may be featured in the
final programme.
The
appeal for suggestions has already begun on Mark Cummings' programme
on BBC Radio Gloucestershire, and listeners have so far suggested
wonders ranging from May Hill and the Severn Bore, to Westonbirt
Arboretum.
Nominate
Just
fill in the form below and make sure the city's natural beauty is
included among the best of the West.
The
programme is due to be broadcast on Sunday, 28 November 2004.

The view across the Severn valley on the descent of Frocester hill.
On a clear day looking to the Welsh mountains, the Malverns and
beyond and seeing the sun glint on the Severn. On a misty day it's
truly ethereal. Different every day but always beautiful.

What about low tide on the Severn Estuary? One of my favourite places
to walk in Gloucestershire is down from the pub in Arlingham to
watch all the seabirds.
