The past, present and future came together at a unique event on Sunday 26th September at Gloucester Leisure Centre GL1.

Cyberman and young Dr Who fan

Among the many stars in attendance were Doctor Who's archenemies the Daleks as well as Boycie & Marlene from Only Fools and Horses.

The event was a fun, free, family day out which celebrated more than 80 years of BBC broadcasting on radio, on television and online.

Broadcasting legends

A little piece of Peckham came to Gloucestershire when two stars of Only Fools and Horses appeared on stage at the event.

Boycie and Marleen (actors John Challis and Sue Holderness) were there as well as the most famous three-wheeler in the world - the Trotter's Independent Traders yellow van.

There was also a rare chance to climb on Trotter's Ethnic Tours Bus to see furniture and artefacts from Del's flat in Nelson Mandela House. It was cushtie!

The props department from Casualty were also on hand to reveal some of the grisly tricks of their trade, while an array of Doctor Who props and costumes were on show.

The BBC Cymru bus came all the way from Wales to show the BBC's online output while BBC Radio Gloucestershire's presenters talked to the crowds throughout the day.

It was a great day and many thousands turned out to see the past, present and future of the BBC! See the pictures from the day below:
