It
was was once home to Queen Katherine Parr, following her marriage
to Sir Thomas Seymour, and Lady Jane Grey.
Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn, and Elizabeth I and Charles I all stayed
here and his nephew, Prince Rupert, established his headquarters
at the castle, during the Civil War.
But
Sudeley's most famous ghost is not a royal, but a loyal former housekeeper
known as Janet, who was devoted to the castle.
Dressed
in a long dress and mob cap, she has been seen by several visitors.
