Talk to us and each other
Battling with adversity on the small screen is something TV creation Keith Barrett knows plenty about.

But in conversation with Marcus Moore on Sunday evening, his alter ego Rob Brydon managed to shed plenty of light on Keith, while not forgetting his own life experiences.

A brilliant impressionist from South Wales, he was also revealed as the voice behind several well-known advertising campaigns: the Tango Drink and Ford Cars among them.

Both revelations came as something of a surprise to an audience revelling in his quick-fire humour.

Award winning

Rob Brydon winning an award

With an award winning television series, a new show and a live tour already under his belt, it seems both Rob and Keith are likely to stay pretty busy for some time yet.

Especially since Rob has now added another string to his bow with a new self-help book on divorce by Keith Barrett.

Filming with Steve Coogan

On Sunday night he was addressing the audience in Cheltenham Town Hall, but next day he was off to begin shooting a brand new film with fellow comedian and good friend of his, Steve Coogan.

Not bad for a former drama student who not so long ago couldn't even get anyone to return his calls. Their loss is our gain.

Rob Brydon was on stage at the Cheltenham Festival of Literature on Sunday 10th October 2004.
