We know quite a bit about our family tree and its black sheep who were transported to Tasmania (they were desperate men!) but thanks to the Gloucestershire Family History Society who directed us to a very interesting book about Machine Breakers in the 1830s we discovered that there was one more sent out to Tasmania than first thought. And she was a very colourful character called Charity Stevens. Thanks again, this was a very good event.

Great opportunity, but sadly victim of success in that it was impossible to get near any of the displays or computers when I was there at 10 o'clock this morning. I was very disappointed and hope that such an event might be repeated in the future at a bigger venue.
