The Cheltenham Circular ChallengeIt is one of 1,690 recognised Marathon Courses worldwide and sees hundreds of walkers and runners tackling Gloucestershire's version of the London Marathon each year. UPDATE: The 2009 Cheltenham Circular Challenge is taking place on Sunday 14 June.The Cheltenham Circular Challenge, which is now in its 14th year, is a 26 mile walk starting and finishing at Cheltenham Racecourse. It encompasses panoramic views of the town, a climb over the Cotswold escarpment and the surrounding valleys and villages. ![]() Organised by the Cleeve Vale Rotary Club, the event gives a number of charities the opportunity to raise money without having to organise it themselves. Walkers gain sponsorship and either nominate their own charity or give the proceeds to the Rotary Club's own charity pool. FitDavid Kaye of the Cleeve Vale Rotary Club says: "We have people coming who are fit and run it, and then we have eighty year old people and children doing one of the legs…so people don't have to do the full 26 miles."
