Unsigned, unsung and up-and-coming

We want you involved with BBC Gloucestershire Introducing. Here you'll find all the info you need for keeping in touch, getting yourself heard on the BBC and getting yourself profiled online.

BBC Gloucestershire Introducing... is our home for the unsigned, unsung and up-and-coming musicians in Gloucestershire.

With more info, Rob Champion writes the following...

How do I get my music featured?

Post a CD or mini-disc of your unsigned tracks to us at the address below.

Introducing...Rob Champion!

We prefer you to send music on Audio CD (not data CD) - make sure it can be played in a normal stereo CD player.

Download, read and complete our Unsigned Bands Contract. This is very important - include it with your music or we won't be able to consider you.

Send your CD / mini-disc and completed contact to us at:

BBC Gloucestershire
London Road
Gloucester
GL1 1SW

  • Don't send MP3s: We don't accept MP3s, especially via e-mail! They can carry viruses, they take forever to open and they slow down our email system. Plus it's lazy.
  • Don't send cover versions: We want to hear original recordings of your own tunes.
  • Don't send music with uncleared samples: Unless you can prove absolutely that you have cleared any samples used, we won't even consider playing your track.

Please note: We can't guarantee that we'll play a track if you send it to us - only selected tracks make it onto each show. If your track is chosen we'll be in touch.

But I'm on my own label...

For our purposes 'unsigned' means you're still looking for a deal. You might have released things on your own label or be on a tiny label (less than 4 artists on the roster) but that's still OK.

Other "stuff"

While we don't want to stifle free expression, please remember that this is a family site, so if your tracks feature naughty or very naughty words we probably won't be able to play them.

Please include a short band biography and details of any forthcoming local gigs.
