Now, just over 6 months later and the stand has seated fans for the first time. ![]() Gloucester playing at Kingsholm Stadium The original stand at Kingsholm was opened in 1932 and has now been replaced by a brand new 7500 seater grandstand. During the demotion of the old stand and construction of the new, walking around the ground was a great opportunity for reflection plus a unique view of the Cathedral! A place where dreams could be made or shattered, standing on the ground at Kingsholm under the observation of Gloucester Cathedral really represents the glory of Gloucester. ![]() Now the new main stand is complete and the view of the Cathedral has almost vanished completely.
